Show how to make, respectively, a Scripting Addition, a regular scriptable application, a threaded scriptable application, which will work with Smile, and show how to implement scriptability in a FORTRAN program.

Making your computational code into a Scripting Addition or into a scriptable application is how you will make it interact with Smile: you will then debug it faster and use all its power.
